Leicester Hosts Special Olympics Bowling
On Friday 31st July, hollywood bowl Leicester came to the end of five days of bowling competitions as they hosted the 8th National Summer Games by the Special Olympics of Great Britain.
Special Olympics Great Britain is the country’s largest provider of year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with learning disabilities. At this years event 1,000 coaches, 1,500 volunteers and 6,000 families were in attendance.
2,700 athletes from 19 regions around Great Britain competed in 21 sporting activities. Tenpin bowling was one of these and hollywood bowl Leicester hosted singles, doubles and team events.
Jason Rodriques, Assistant Brand Manager for hollywood bowl said, "hollywood bowl Leicester were proud to be part of such a prestigious event. A huge congratulations to all the athletes, coaches and volunteers."
