The closing times for our centres vary depending on the day of the week, and the centre itself. From Monday to Thursday and Sunday, centres tend to close at 11:00pm. On Friday and Saturday, they tend to close at 12:00am. Check your nearest centre’s page for its exact hours.

Every Hollywood Bowl centre is open every day apart from Christmas Day.

Typically, our closing time on a Sunday is 11:00pm. However, some centres close at 12:00am on a Sunday. Closing times can be checked when booking online after a centre is selected.

The arcade opening hours follow the same opening hours as each individual centre.

Prices vary by centre. The cheapest prices can be found in the Cwmbran centre, where prices start from £3.50 each (adults or children). All prices can be calculated when choosing your centre in our online booking system.

In all our centres there is no limit on the number of people who can bowl together in a group. The maximum capacity we allow on each lane is 8 players.

A game of bowling takes approximately 10 minutes per person. So if six people were bowling, it would typically last about an hour. The more players on your lane, the longer the game will last.

Yes, we prefer everyone (adults and children) to bowl in their own shoes at our centres, as long as they are flat-soled, closed-toe shoes. All open-toed footwear, including Crocs and sliders, is not allowed for safety reasons.

There are no restrictions, although we suggest that given the weight of bowling balls, the minimum age for a child to bowl is four. As long as you’re fit and strong enough, there is no upper age limit, and we love to see all ages coming together to have great fun on the lanes. Of course, areas of our centres have age restrictions, so we can’t allow under-18s in our bar after 9pm. Under-18s are also only allowed in our premises after 8pm (time restrictions may vary, please check with your local centre) with a responsible adult/parent or legal guardian. We will ask for proof of age. The junior age range is 0-15 years old.

The junior age range is 0-15 years old. We suggest that the minimum age for a child to bowl is 4, but it’s solely dependent on the child and their ability.

Our smallest ball is XS, which is 6lb in weight. We also have ramps that let kids push the ball at speed instead of bowling by hand, and bumpers that stop the balls going into the gutter.

With the exception of trained guide or assistance dogs, no animals are permitted into our centres. Trained guide or assistance dogs must be well-behaved at all times when supporting a customer in our centres.

There is no set dress code, other than that we ask our guests to remove any hoods and caps so that we can see their smiling faces! We do ask that you behave appropriately and considerately at all times, which covers wearing appropriate clothing for a family centre.

Hollywood Bowl uses Pins on Strings technology in many of its centres. This has been introduced to help improve reliability and give our customers the best possible experience. Our Pins on Strings machines are fully endorsed by the International Bowling Federation.

Yes. As our bowling centres can get very busy at peak times, and we don’t like turning people away, we always advise booking online in advance. Book online or through our contact centre in advance for the best prices.

The family deal for 4 people is for 2 adults and 2 juniors, or 1 adult and 3 juniors. The family deal for 5 people is for 2 adults and 3 juniors, or 1 adult and 4 juniors.

If for whatever reason you decide not to bowl, you are welcome to watch your family and friends score those strikes from the sidelines without having to pay.

We offer a discounted concessionary rate all week* to those with disabilities (and their carers) and seniors**. Prices and discounts can vary depending on time of booking and centre. * London O2 is only available all-day Monday-Wednesday and before 6pm Thursday and Friday — more details are on that centre’s own FAQ page. ** Seniors are any customer aged 65 years and older.

To cancel or amend a booking please call our contact centre by telephone, or complete the contact form on our website. There are no rights of refund or exchange, and the cancellation rights in the Consumer Protection (Contracts Regulations 2014) do not apply to the services we offer.
